T. Gary Rogers Rowing Center

This is the home of the California Crew. For over 100 years, Cal Crew has trained and raced on the Oakland Estuary. The rowing center is the result of the leadership and teamwork of several groups and numerous individuals including the University of California, the Cal Crew Friends, friends and family of current and former athletes and the athletes themselves.

The crew trains here on a regular basis and provides offices for the coaches and storage for the boats, oars and equipment. In addition, the boathouse is the site of frequent events ranging from banquets and fundraisers to the annual Cal Crew Alumni Day, which is held in March.

Walk the grounds of the rowing center and you will see the names of the many participants and sponsors who made this vision a reality. Plaques, photos, engraved stones and more are testament to the hundreds of people who care about rowing at Cal and intend to see it continue its success for future generations.
