ANNUAL FUNDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS
The number one way to support Cal Crew is through the annual funds and scholarships listed below. They are designed so your entire donation may be made available for the current rowing season. Your donation to one of these options is tax deductible, qualifies for football and basketball seating programs, Bear Backer points, and is matched dollar for dollar by a challenge match.
Cal Crew General Fund, Berry Memorial Fund
These funds provide Coach Frandsen total flexibility for equipment purchases, travel, additional scholarship funds, and other annual expenses.
Ky Ebright Scholarship, Lemmon Crew Scholarship, and Steve Gladstone Scholarship
These scholarships provide the necessary funds to aid and recruit the top junior oarsmen in the country and around the world.
Note: A small portion of all gifts to UC Regents is used to defray the costs of administering the funds.
JOIN THE FRIENDS OF CAL CREW
Joining the Friends of Cal Crew is a great way to stay involved as an alumni and give back to the team on an ongoing basis. An annual membership donation goes towards the Friends of Cal Crew operations, fundraising, and social events throughout the year. Dues are tax deductible.
Note: Annual Membership Donations must be made separately from any donations to the Annual Funds & Scholarships listed above.

ENDOWED FUNDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS
Our endowed funds and scholarships provide the Crew with an annual base of approximately $440,000 each year. Donations to one of the listed endowments below help fulfill our ongoing goal to endow Crew forever. A percentage of your donation, in the form of annual return, becomes available to the Crew for the current rowing season. These funds are designed for larger gifts and planned giving. If you are interested in making a planned gift to Cal Crew, the Friends of Cal Crew will help put you in direct contact with the Athletics Development Office. Your donation to one of these funds or scholarships is tax deductible and counts for Bear Backer points.
Note: These donations do not count for football and basketball seating programs.
T. Gary Rogers Fund (Formerly Cal Crew Forever Fund)
Provides for the purchase of equipment, travel and any other necessary expenses.
L.H. Penny Fund
Provides for equipment purchase. Additional income is used for equipment maintenance and travel to competitions.
Ky Ebright Fund
Provides for equipment, travel and any other necessary expenses.
Crew Alumni Memorial Fund — Dean Witter
Provides for equipment purchase. Additional income is used for equipment maintenance and travel to competitions.
Harold D. Pischel Endowed Scholarship for Men’s Crew
Provides for grant-in-aid fund to assist undergraduate oarsmen, recognizing athletic ability and academic achievement.
John Gregory Rhodes Men’s Crew Scholarship
Provides for grant-in-aid to assist undergraduate oarsmen, recognizing athletic ability and academic achievement. First preference is for Acalanes High School graduates.

Once you have decided on how you would like to support the crew, please make your check payable to UC Regents. Please also note Men’s Crew and your specific fund or endowment preference on your check’s memo line. If you have one of our return envelopes use the check boxes to specify the fund or endowment to which you are contributing. If you prefer to use your own envelope please address it to:
