The Princeton 3-Mile Chase is a head-race regatta hosted by Princeton University and will be on Sunday, October 28, 2018. Racing takes place on Lake Carnegie and features top collegiate programs from around the country. It is another excellent opportunity for our program to test its early speed against some of the best teams in the country.
The head of the Charles Regatta is the largest 2-day regatta in the world and has been in existence since 1965. The fall rowing season is highlighted by this regatta where the Bears take on some of the world's biggest competition both at the collegiate and international level. Cal has finished in the top 10 in the Championship 8+ event every year since 2007. Anyone who is in the Boston area should feel free to stop by our boat trailer to say hello during the weekend of racing.
Each football season the Friends of Cal Crew hosts a tailgate for all alumni, family, and friends to celebrate the start of a new school year and rowing season. Our tailgate includes food, drinks, and fun for the entire family. Join us this year before the Cal vs. UCLA football game on October 13th. Our event will start two hours prior to kick-off (game time and tailgate location TBD). The tailgate is a great time to reconnect with past teammates and the Cal Crew Community.
Each fall season we host dinner and cocktails for our Cal Crew parents to kick-off our Parents Weekend. This evening includes words from our coaches, staff, and fundraising team about our upcoming season and what our Cal Crew families can expect. We love the opportunity to meet new and returning families of our student-athletes and all family members are welcome to join. This year please join us on Friday, October 13th at 67 Canyon Rd. Berkeley, CA.
