Friends of the Cal Crew Gather to Celebrate Election of new Executive Board and Look Forward to the Season ahead
On Thursday January 29th over 40 Golden Bear supporters gathered at T. Gary Rogers Rowing Center for the Friends of Cal Crew Quarterly Meeting. Presiding over the event was newly appointed President Andreja Stevanovic, who welcomed the standing room only crowd with his vision for how the group was planning to expand the reach of the Friends through exciting events designed to better connect alumni, supporters, and teammates with the current program. He also introduced the other members of his Executive Board who detailed a number of initiatives designed to harness the passion of the groups members to make this season as memorable for those off the water at it will be for the athletes on it. Coaches Teti and Bond concluded the meeting with squad updates that gave little doubt that this truly will be a season to remember.
